TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team lost to Southern Nevada 7-4 and then bounced back with an 18-2 run rule in game two Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
In game one, the Golden Eagles finished with six total hits led by
Taya Manzanares going 2-for-3 with an RBI and
Rachael Brown 2-4 with an RBI.Â
Markessa Jensen earned the loss in the circle, going 5.2 innings and giving up five earned runs on nine hits with three strikeouts.
Game two was all CSI. After giving up two solo home runs in the first inning, starting pitcher
Gracie Walters shut down the Coyotes the rest of the way, She finished with six strikeouts in the five innings.
The Golden Eagles hit six home runs in the game.
Gracie Tentinger was 3-for-3 with two home runs and eight RBI. Jensen was 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI,
Rachael Brown was 3-for-4 with a home run,
Brylee Bigelow was 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI and
Kenzee Hale hit a three-run home run.
CSI, now 31-14 overall and 19-9 in conference play, travels to league-leading Salt Lake next week.
