TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat league-leading Southern Nevada 4-3 before dropping game two 19-7 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Stone Cushing earned the win in game one, going 6.1 innings and giving up three earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts. Malcom Bartholomew got the save, pitching the final two outs.
At the plate,
Logan West was 1-for-3 with an RBI and
Cooper Sloan was 1-for-1 with an RBI and a walk.
Colby Carter was 1-for-2 and
Brody Duvall and
Greyson Shafer were each 1-for-3.
In game two, the Golden Eagles couldn't shut down the CSN offense.
Candon Dahle earned the loss, going 1.1 innings and giving up seven earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts.
At the plate, Duvall was 2-for-3, Shafer was 2-for-4 with two RBI, Carter was 2-for-3 with three RBI,
Jace Leatham was 1-for-1,
Preston Viera was 1-for-1 and
Tyler Vance was 1-for-3 with two RBI.Â
CSI, 25-13 overall and 9-13 in conference play, hosts Southern Nevada again Saturday at 11 a.m. for a doubleheader. Prior to the first pitch, sophomores will be honored.
