TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat Southern Nevada 8-5 before dropping game two 11-3.
In game one,
Kenzee Hale went 4-for-4 at the plate and
Gracie Tentinger was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI along with two walks.
Markessa Jensen was 2-for-4,
Tessa Hokanson was 1-for-2 with a double and three RBI and
Brylee Bigelow was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI.
Gracie Walters improved to 11-1 in the circle, pitching all seven innings and giving up four earned runs on five hits with four strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles couldn't get their bats going in game two. The only player with more than one hit was Jensen, who was 2-for-2 with a walk. Tentinger was 1-for-3 with a home run and Hale was 1-for-2 with an RBI.Â
Brooke Merrill earned the loss, going 3.1 innings and giving up seven earned runs on nine hits with four strikeouts.
CSI will take on Southern Nevada again Saturday at noon for a doubleheader.
