TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball beat Colorado Northwestern 5-0 and 4-3 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
Josh Trentadue was close to perfect on the mound, giving up no runs with one hit and 13 strikeouts in game one.
Three players finished with two hits.
Logan West was 2-for-3 with an RBI,
Greyson Shafer was 2-for-4 with an RBI and
Eliot Jones was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.
The Golden Eagles broke a 3-3 tie in the eighth inning of game two to get the win.
Cole Collins doubled to led off the inning with a double. He then scored the winning run when
Colby Carter singled and then Collins advanced home on an error by third base.
Jones was 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Carter was 2-for-4.
Stone Cushing pitched the opening seven innings and gave up two earned runs on four hits with 12 strikeouts.
Dax Newman got the win, pitching the final 1.2 innings, giving up no runs on two hits.
