HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team scored 28 runs in beating Community Christian College 9-0 and 19-3 on Wednesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Golden Eagle pitcher
Josh Trentadue dominated on the mound, giving up no runs on three hits with 14 strikeouts and went the distance in game one.
Offensively,
Brody Duvall was 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.
Colby Carter was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI,
Junior Garcia was 2-for-4 and
Tyler Vance and
Eliot Jones were each 1-for-1.
CSI scored 10 runs in the top of the first inning of game two and cruised from there, run ruling CCC in five innings.
Duvall was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI, Vance 1-for-1 with a triple and
Kaden Schuck was 3-for-3 with four RBI. Carter was 2-for-3 with two RBI,
Cole Rollins was 1-for-2 with two RBI and
Tai Walker was 1-for-1 with a walk.Â
Earning the win on the mound was
Stone Cushing. The sophomore pitched four innings, giving up no runs on two hits with 10 strikeouts.
CSI, 15-7 overall and 3-7 in conference play, takes on CCC Thursday for a doubleheader.
