TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team beat Western Nebraska 75-68 Friday in the Rob Green Classic.
The Golden Eagles led by as much as 19 points early in the second half but watched the lead disappear and Western Nebraska close within a point late.Â
CSI knocked down some late free throws and used a stifling defense to pull away in the final two minutes of the game.
Asim Jones led the Golden Eagles with 27 points.
Jaylon Johnson added 13 points and three assists.
Shahid Muhammad came within one points of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds along with six blocks. Off the bench
Dale Griffin had eight points and
Sam Phipps had four points, four rebounds and three steals.
Britton Berrett finished with seven points and
Kasen Carpenter had six rebounds.
CSI, now 7-3, hosts Northeastern Junior College Saturday.
