HUTCHINSON, Kan. - The ninth-seeded College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team didn't have an answer for top-seeded Florida Southwestern's firepower Thursday, falling to the Bucs 25-17, 25-19, 25-15.
Val Sarti-Cipriani led the Golden Eagles with 10 kills and three blocks.
Annie Nikolnikova added six kills and
Danea King had six kills and five blocks. Outside hitters
Sydney Hess and
Alizaysha Sopi combined for seven kills and 12 digs. Defensively,
Chinaru Inoue led CSI with 12 digs.
Florida Southwestern served tough all match, posting 11 service aces in the match.
CSI now plays at 3 p.m. MT Friday against Salt Lake CC, who lost a five-set battle to Trinity Valley. The winner of that match will play in the fifth-place match Saturday.
