HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho dominated the College of Southern Nevada to open its Scenic West Athletic Conference match Saturday but couldn't maintain and ultimately lost in five sets 11-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-21, 15-10.
The Golden Eagles outhit the Coyotes .234 to .138 , finished with more service aces, more kills and more digs but just couldn't break through for the win.
Four players finished with double-digit kills led by
Alizaysha Sopi's 16 kills.
Kalamela Liua had 13,
Yale Spoja finished with 12 and
Valentina Sarti-Cipriani added 10. Liua also had 15 digs and two blocks and Sopi had 11 digs and four blocks. Spoja also was solid at the net, finishing with four blocks.
Kennedy Peery finished with 26 assists and
Janke Pretorius had 24.
CSI, not 9-9, hosts Salt Lake CC Wednesday at 6 p.m.
