Las Vegas, Nev. - The third-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team used a stifling defense to defeat 10th-ranked Casper College 61-39 Monday at the Southern Nevada Tournament.
The Golden Eagles held Casper to 32 percent shooting from the field, 13 percent from long range and forced the Thunderbirds into 25 turnovers.
Courtney Stothard led CSI with 15 points. She also had four rebounds and two steals.
Kaylee Headrick finished the game with a double-double, scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
Livia Knapp was the only other Golden Eagle in double-figure scoring with 10 points. She added three rebounds and four assists.
Kali Haizlip had a solid game with seven points and six rebounds.
CSI, now 13-2 overall, takes on Central Arizona Tuesday at 4 p.m. MST. Central Arizona defeated Salt Lake CC on Monday.
