TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho jumped out to a 29-8 first-quarter lead and never slowed down, beating Western Nebraksa 87-61 Saturday in the final day of the Hilex Poly/Physician's Immediate Care Invitational.
CSI shot close to 50 percent from the field and 3-point distance in the first three quarters, leading by as much as 46 points in the third quarter.
Kaylee Headrick finished the game with 16 points, 14 rebounds, two assists and two steals. Alyssa Christensen added 15 points, nine rebounds and two assists and Livia Knapp had 14 points and six assists with no turnovers.
Off the bench Kali Haizlip scored 10 points along with three rebounds and two assists and Jill Lungren had eight points with three rebounds, two assists and two blocks.Â
Kennedy Eskelson also had a solid night, finishing with six points, nine rebounds and two assists.
The Golden Eagles, 2-0 overall, travel to Florida Southwestern next week for a tournament.
