TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team beat Western Wyoming 25-21, 25-19, 25-17 in its opening home-court match Tuesday in non-conference action.
The Golden Eagles finished with a team hitting percentage of .269 to .085 for the Mustangs, which proved to be the difference.
CSI's
Savannah Taosoga led CSI with 11 kills, five digs and two blocks.
Pia Selke had eight kills with two blocks and
Gabby Polynice had four kills with three blocks. Outside hitter
Mackenna Thayne posted six kills in the two sets she played.
Running the offense,
Kaulana Kalulu-Sugai had a team-high 20 assists along with two aces and two digs. Teammate
Kennedy Peery added 13 assists. Defensively
Kerra Trimble led the Golden Eagles with 10 digs.
Ksenija Djonovic added six.Â
The Golden Eagles, 3-2, now travel to Salt Lake for a two-day tournament Friday and Saturday.Â
