CSI Baseball loses both at Southern Nevada Friday

HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost to Southern Nevada 8-1 and 7-6 Friday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader.
CSI held CSN to six hits in the opener but also gave 10 free passes between hit by pitches and walks.
The Golden Eagles three hits came from Noah Hennings, Magnum Hofstetter and Tyler Curtis.
Jake Dahle earned the lost, going 2.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
CSI had a chance to come away with the game two win when the two teams headed into extra innings. In the top of the eighth with Briggs Newman on second, Jodan Scott's single scored Newman to take the lead. But Southern Nevada fought back, scoring on a tag from a infield fly and then added the game-winning run on a hit by pitch.
Zach Schmidt was the only CSI player with more than one hit, going 2-for-4. Mason Olson had a solid outing on the mound, pitching four innings, giving up two earned runs on six hits with two strikeouts.
