TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team made the most of its Scenic West Athletic Conference bye weekend, by run ruling Community Christian College 17-3 Thursday in the opening game of a four-game series with the non-conference foe.
The Golden Eagles pitched four different players (
Jayson Hibbard,
Tanner Clayton,
Carson Bonus and
Logan Bleazard), who combined to give up just four hits, three earned runs with 10 strikeouts.
At the plate, CSI pounded out 12 hits and drew 16 free passes in the seven inning game.
Zack Petersen,
Isaiah Vega and
Tate Gambill all finished 2-for-2 at the plate. Petersen and Vega each had a double and two RBI.
Noah Hennings was 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and
Charlie Tentinger was 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI.
Magnum Hofstetter was 1-for-1.
Crew Robinson finished the game with three walks, three runs scored and one RBI.
CSI, now 13-12 overall, will play CCC Friday at 1 and 3 p.m. and Saturday at noon.
