SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 15th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team led 14th-ranked Salt Lake by four points through three quarters but couldn't hold on, falling to the Bruins 65-60 in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
It was the first conference game of the season for both teams.
CSI out-shot SLCC from the field 45 percent to 37 percent but Bruins hit 11 3-pointers compared to three for the Golden Eagles.
Karmelah Dean led CSI in scoring with 19 points.
Courtney Stothard added eight points and
Brayli Jenks had eight. Stothard also had six rebounds and three steals.
Jasmyne Boles led the Golden Eagles on the boards with nine.
Jordan Todd finished the game with four points, six rebounds and two assists.
CSI will host Southern Nevada at 5 p.m. Friday and USU Eastern at 1 p.m. Saturday.
