PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team dominated Yavapai College 25-23, 25-14, 25-18 to open the Dalton Overstreet Invitational Thursday then lost to second-ranked Odessa College 30-28, 25-11, 25-15 on Friday.
Against Yavapai
Savannah Taosoga led the team with 14 kills.
Taylor Burnham added eight kills. Defensively
Kerra Trimble led the Golden Eagles with 10 digs.
Hannah Randall and
Keaupunilani Kamakeeaina combined for 31 assists and 10 digs.
Taosoga was again solid in the Odessa match, leading the team in kills with 17. She finished with just three errors for a .467 hitting percentage. She was the only Golden Eagle in double-digit kills. Defensively Trimble and Kamakeeaina each had eight digs and
Miyu Tsurumaki added seven. Kamakeeaina also had a team-high 20 assists.Â
The Golden Eagles, 6-4 overall, take on Eastern Arizona and Arizona Western Saturday before returning home.
