PRESCOTT, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team beat Eastern Arizona 25-20, 25-16, 25-12 and Arizona Western 25-16, 32-34, 25-20, 25-23 Saturday in the final day of the Dalton Overstreet Invitational.
Against Eastern Arizona,
Taylor Burnham led the attack, finishing with 18 kills and 14 digs.
Savannah Taosoga added six kills and
Laura Valentina had five kills and two blocks. Pia Selka had four kills, two service aces, four blocks and three digs for the Golden Eagles. Both
Miyu Tsurumaki (12 digs) and
Kerra Trimble (11 digs) posted double-figure digs.
Hannah Randall led the team in assists with 19.
In the Arizona Western match, Burnham again was solid, finishing with 21 kills, 15 digs and three blocks. Selka was solid again as well, posting eight kills, nine digs, three service aces and three blocks.
Gabby Polynice led the team with five blocks, while Trimble finished with 19 digs to lead all defensive players. Tsurumaki added 17 digs and
Saryiah Kahakai had 14. Randall finished with a team high 36 assists.
CSI, now 8-4 overall, will return home for a bye week.
