TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team run ruled Dawson CC 10-0 in the opener Saturday before falling 7-6 in game two.
The Golden Eagle pitchers combined for no runs on two hits with six strikeouts in game one.
Jake Dahle earned the win, while
Mason Olson and
Caden Christensen also each threw.
Magnum Hofstetter went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and three RBI.
Andrew Gregersen was 1-for- 2 with a home run and two RBI. The Golden Eagles also got hits from
Crew Robinson,
Jordan Scott, Dawson Steifel and
Tate Gambill.
In game two, CSI fell behind 6-0 going into the bottom of the third inning but clawed its way back into the game, falling by just one run.Â
Braxton Mills was 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI and Newman was 2-for-4 with a double.Â
On the mound,
Kyler Murray earned the loss, pitching the first two innings and giving up two runs on two hits.Â
CSI, now 7-5 overall, are off next weekend, before traveling to Henderson Nev. for a tournament Feb. 18-20.
