HENDERSON, Nev. - The eighth-ranked College of Southern Women's Basketball Team avenged its only loss of the season, beating 13th-ranked Central Arizona 83-78 Monday in the College of Southern Nevada holiday tournament.
The Golden Eagles beat the Vaqueros behind the huge performance of
Emilia Nworie. The freshman post finished the game with 25 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks.
The only other CSI player in double figures was
Courtney Stothard with 11 points.
Sadie Gronning had a solid all around game, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds and five assists.
Both
Kyra Paniora and
Ashlee Strawbridge each scored nine points.
CSI, now 14-1 overall, plays the Nevada All Stars at 10:30 a.m. PST. It will be counted as a scrimmage and a regular season game.
