HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team lost a close one 4-2 and the nightcap 13-3 to the College of Southern Nevada on Friday.
The College of Southern Idaho couldn't get its offense going in game one. Trailing by four runs heading into the seventh
Colton Kent led off the inning with a walk. Kent was out on a fielder's choice by
Noah Hennings but
Colton Easton singled to give CSI runners at first and second.
Crew Robinson got the RBI single and Hennings scored on an error.
Charlie Tentinger then walked but the Golden Eagles couldn't capitalize and finished strikeout, ground out to end the game.Â
Jackson Kohler and Easton finished the game 2-for-3.
Staley Hansgen earned the loss, going 5.1 innings and giving up three earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts.
Game two was all Southern Nevada as the Coyotes jumped on the board with four runs in the first inning.
The Golden Eagles were able to plate two runs in the third and one in the fifth but it wasn't enough as CSN run-ruled CSI in six innings.
Tyler Curtis was 3-for-3 with a double a triple and three RBI. Hennings added a hit and
Griffey Larsen finished 1-for-1 with a walk and two stolen bases. The Golden Eagles threw five pitchers with
Kyler Murray earning the loss.Â
CSI, 8-8, will look to bounce back Saturday for a single nine-inning game at 11 a.m. PST.
