HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team opened its Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule Thursday, falling to the College of Southern Nevada 7-3.
The Coyotes scored five runs in the first inning and never trailed.
CSI pulled within 5-2 on a 2 RBI single by
Tyler Curtis in the fifth. But CSN answered with two in the bottom half to maintain their lead. The Golden Eagles would score one more in the seventh when
Colton Easton walked,
Dawson Stiefel singled and
Crew Robinson scored Easton on a fielder's choice.
Andrew Gregersen finished 1-for-1 and
Charlie Tentinger was 1-2 before both left the game with injuries.Â
Nate Dahle earned the loss, going four innings and giving up one earned run with three strikeouts.
Ethan Horner pitched 3.2 innings and gave up one earned run with seven strikeouts.
CSI is back in action Friday at 2:30 p.m. PST and 5 p.m. PST in Henderson.
