TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho got the weekend sweep with a 12-0 run-rule win Sunday over the University of Calgary.
The Golden Eagle pitchers were near flawless, combining for one hits and seven strikeouts.
Taye Newman earned the win in his three innnings of work.
Mason Nielson,
Caden Christensen and
Deandre Cooper all saw action on the mound.
CSI was impressive at the plate too.
Noah Hennings finished 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run and three RBI.
Tyler Curtis also hit a home run and went 1-1 with 3 RBI.
Andrew Gregersen was 2-for-3 and
Colton Easton was 2-for-2.
CSI, 8-5 overall, opens conference play Thursday in Henderson, Nev. at the College of Southern Nevada.
