TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Seeding for the Region 18 Tournament next week came down USU Eastern and College of Southern Idaho in Thursday night's Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup. The Golden Eagles passed the test, beating USUE 76-60 behind sophomore guard
Mike Hood's 36 points.
Hood knocked down four 3-pointers and made all 10 of his free throws. The Golden Eagles shot 83 percent from the free-throw line compared to 39 percent for the Eagles of Price.
The only other CSI player in double figures was
Maurice Barnett with 10. Barnett added three rebounds and three assists.
Stevie Smith and Deng Dug each posted nine points and five rebounds. Dut added five assists and Smith had three.
Sawyer Storms led the Golden Eagles in rebounds with nine and posted six points.Â
With the win, CSI will be the three seed next week in the Region 18 Tournament. The Golden Eagles will take on Snow College Friday at 7:30 p.m.
