SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team played with ninth-ranked Salt Lake CC to the end, falling 69-63 Saturday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
The Golden Eagles were out-shot from the field by the Bruins but they won the battle at the free-throw line. CSI shot 94 percent, missing just one free throw, while SLCC made just 70 percent. The Golden Eagles also forced the Bruins into 20 turnovers compared to 15 for CSI.
Mike Hood led CSI with 17 points.
Sawyer Storms finished with a double-double, scoring 12 points and adding 10 rebounds.
Kendall McHugh posted 12 points, four assists and three steals, while
Nehemie Kabeya had six points and eight rebounds.
CSI returns home to host USU Eastern Thursday in its final regular season home game.
