RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team shot 60 percent from the field, 48 percent from long range and 75 percent from the free-throw line en route to a 110-83 win over Colorado Northwestern CC Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles knocked down 14 3-pointers, five by
Mike Hood. Hood finished the game with 26 points and added five assists.
Maurice Barnett had four 3-pointers and 18 points, four assists and five rebounds. Other players scoring in double figures included
Stevie Smith with 18,
Sawyer Storms with 14 and
Deng Dut with 12. Smith added nine rebounds, Storms had six assists, seven rebounds and three steals and Dut finished with seven assists.
CSI is clinging to a 1/2 game lead over USU Eastern in the standings for third place. The Golden Eagles will host USU Eastern next Thursday in what could be a huge game for seeding for the Region 18 Tournament. Before that game, CSI travels to Salt Lake Saturday to take on the Bruins at 3 p.m.
