PRICE, Utah - USU Eastern jumped out on the College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team and never trailed in beating the Golden Eagles 70-53 Thursday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
After training by more than 20 points, CSI cut the lead to 13 in the fourth quarter but that was as close as it would get. The Golden Eagles struggled from long range all game, making only 18 percent of their shots. That combined with USU Eastern out-rebounding CSI and forcing the Golden Eagles into 18 turnovers proved to be too much for CSI.Â
Petra Farkas led the Golden Eagles with 14 points, six rebounds and two assists. Post
Allie Thayne had a solid game, finishing with eight points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Taylia Stimpson added four points and five steals.
CSI, now 15-7 overall and 2-3 in league play, travels to Snow College Saturday at 3 p.m.
