PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team beat Utah State University Eastern 6-2 and 11-0 Saturday to take four wins on the weekend in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
Colton Carpenter won game one, pitching 5.1 innings and giving up one earned run on five hits with six strikeouts.
David Hudleson finished 3-for-4 at the plate and
Andrew Astin was 3-for-3.
Hayden Leatham hit a home run with two RBI and
Jordan Scott was 3-for-4.
In game two,
Connor Breding earned the win, going all five innings and giving up no runs on three hits with one strikeout.
Nolan Walker was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Leatham stayed hot, going 3-for-4 with a double, home run and five RBI. Scott was 2-for-2 with two doubles, while Hudleson was 2-for-4.
CSI, 33-21 overall and 16-15 in league play, open the Region 18 Tournament Thursday.
