RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team benefited from two dominant pitching performance Saturday to beat Colorado Northwestern 13-0 and 6-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
Hadlie Henderson pitched a no-hitter to open the day giving up just two walks and posting three strikeouts.
Mailee Jensen closed the day with a three-hit, no walk, six strikeout shutout.
The Golden Eagles had a lot of run support in game one. Both
Nikki Zielinski and
Kaeley Loader finished 2-for-3. Zielinski posted a double and Loader a home run with three RBI.
Mya Washington and
Anjalee Batchelor each was 1-for-3 with 3 RBI. Washington had a triple, while Emma Williams was 1-for-1 with a double.
Carley Croshaw and
Kaylee Lamont each went 1-for-2 with 1 RBI.Â
CSI's bats weren't as hot in game two. Zielinski finished 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI and
Kylie Baumert was 2-for-4 with a walk and one RBI, while Washington added two more RBI on a single.
CSI, 32-20 overall and 23-13 in SWAC play, returns home to host USU Eastern Friday and Saturday for sophomore weekend and the final regular season games of the season.
