RANGELY, Colo. - The College of Southern Idaho took two games from Colorado Northwestern CC Friday, run-ruling the Spartans 12-3 before beating them 4-0 in game two.
The Golden Eagles pounded out 12 hits in the opener, led by
Kylie Baumert's 3-for-4 performance with four RBI.
Anjalee Batchelor went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI and
Mya Washington was 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Carley Croshaw and
Kalena Shepherd each went 2-for-4.
Kamryn Grover earned the win in the circle, going 4.2 innings and giving up three earned runs and seven hits with five strikeouts.
Hadlie Henderson came in to close the game, giving up one hit and no runs.
CSI relied on its pitching in game two.
Mailee Jensen earned the win, giving up just three hits in the seven innings with three strikeouts.
Batchelor stayed hot, going 2-for-2 with two RBI.
Tristin Evans was 1-for-2 with two walks and Shepherd was 0-1 with three walks. The Golden Eagles finished with just four total hits.
CSI, 30-20 overall and 21-13 in SWAC play, take on CNCC at noon Saturday for a doubleheader.
