EPHRAIM, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Softball team beat Snow College Saturday 7-5 before falling 8-6 in game two.
The Golden Eagles trailed 2-0 early in game one but battled back for the win.
Nikki Zielinski finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.
Hannah Peterson was 2-for-5 with a triple and one RBI.
Anjalee Batchelor and
Carley Croshaw were also 2-for-4.
Mailee Jensen earned the win in the circle going six innings and giving up five earned runs on 11 hits with four strikeouts.
Hadlie Henderson earned the save.
CSI trailed 8-2 in the second game before rallying in the seventh inning.
Mya Washington led off the inning with a home run.
Kaylee Lamont walked and Peterson hit a home run followed by a Zielinski home run to pull within 8-6 with not outs. But that would be it as the Golden Eagles went ground out, a Batchelor single before a strikeout and a fly out.
Peterson and Washington ended the game 2-for-3 with two RBI.Â
Grover earned the loss, going five innings and giving up seven earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts.
CSI travels to Colorado Northwestern CC Friday and Saturday.
