SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho lost to Salt Lake CC 5-2 and then fell in a marathon 12-inning second game 7-6.
In the opener,
Cannon Secrist pitched 3.1 innings and gve up three runs with three strikeouts.
Nolan Walker was 1-for-3 with a double.
Golden Eagle starter
Boden Mills pitched a gem in game two, going 6.2 innings and giving up just five hits with five strikeouts. The Golden Eagles led 6-3 going into the bottom of the ninth but Salt Lake tied it up and eventually won 7-6 in the bottom of the 12th.
David Hudelson went 3-for-6 with a double and RBI,
Hayden Leatham was 4-for-5 with an RBI and
Ryan Nolan was 2-for-5 with a double and RBI.
The Golden Eagles, now 5-10 overall and 0-7 in SWAC play, host Idaho State University Club Team Wednesday for a tripleheader starting at 11 a.m. and then Prairie Baseball Academy on Friday and Saturday.
