TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team improved to 17-11 with two wins over Colorado Northwestern 11-3 and 10-2 Friday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 9-0 lead through two and coasted in game one.
Hannah Peterson and
Kalena Shepherd each hit two doubles.
Tristin Evans added another double and two RBI.
Kylie Baumert hit a 2-RBI home run, while
Emma Wilson was 1-for-1 with three RBI,
Mya Washington was 2-for-3 and Peterson was 2-for-3.
In the circle,
Mailee Jensen earned the win, giving up just two earned runs on six hits with six strikeouts.
CSI added three more home runs on the day in game two, when Wilson,
Carley Croshaw and
Kalena Shepherd hit the long ball. Croshaw finished 2-for-3 at the plate. Evans had another solid game, going 3-for-3 with three RBI. Baumert went 2-for-3 with a double. Peterson finished with a double and
Nikki Zielinski added a triple.
Hadlie Henderson earned the win, giving up two earned runs on seven hits with three strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles, now 10-4 in conference play, host Colorado Northwestern at noon and 2 p.m. Saturday.
