TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team gave up just two runs all day, beating Colorado Northwestern 8-0 and 5-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Saturday.
In the game one run rule, CSI had just one extra base hit.
Hannah Peterson, who finished 3-for-3 with 2 RBI, laced a triple.
Kalena Shepherd was 2-for-3 and
Kylie Baumert was 1-for-1 with 2 RBI and a walk.
In the circle,
Hadlie Henderson earned the win, going five innings and giving up just four hits with one strikeouts.
Game two produced the only home run of the day for the Golden Eagles.
Kalena Shepherd his a two-run shot and finished the game 2-for-3.
Tristin Evans was 2-for-3 as well with one RBI.
Emma Wilson and Peterson each hit a double.
Kylie Jones earned the win, going five innings and giving up one earned run on five hits with three strikeouts. Henderson got the save, giving up just one hit in two innings with two strikeouts.
CSI, now 18-11 overall and 12-4 in conference play, travels to USU Eastern Friday and Saturday.
