HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho put together solid pitching, hitting and defensive performances to beat Southern Nevada 9-1 in five innings and 14-10 in game two on Saturday.

Mailee Jensen earned two wins on the day in the circle. The freshman threw a 3-hit opening game with two strikeouts and no earned runs. She came into game two to earn her second win of the day, pitching 4.2 innings and giving up three earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts.
At the plate in game one,
Kylie Baumert went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Mya Washington was 2-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBI,
Nikki Zielinski was 1-for-2 with a home run and
Tristin Evans was 1-2 with a home run and three RBI.
Anjalee Batchelor finished 2-for-3.
The bats stayed hot in game two.
Kalena Shepherd was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBI.
Sherry Boone was 3-for-5 with a double, Evans was 3-for-5 with two RBI, Zielinski was 2-for-4 with two RBI and Baumert finished the game with two home runs and three RBI.
CSI, now 8-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play, hosts Salt Lake CC Friday and Saturday after traveling to Ontario, Ore. for a double header Tuesday.
