TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team evened its season record to 13-13 Saturday with 12-2 and 4-2 non-conference wins against Prairie Baseball Academy.
The Golden Eagles rolled in game one, posting 11 hits while allowing just six.
Hayden Leatham was 3-for-4 with a double and and two RBI.
Nolan Walker was 2-for-2 with a walk, hit by pitch and one RBI.
On the mound,
Colton Carpenter earned the win, going five innings and giving up no earned runs on six hits with three strikeouts.
Game two was much closer as Prairie took the 2-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth.
But CSI answered with three runs to take the lead it never relinquished.Â
Nolan Walker led off with a double and moved to third on an error before
Abe Yagi singled Walker in for the first run.
Andrew Astin walked. Then
Jordan Scott, who pinch ran for Yagi, and Astin moved to second and third on a wild pitch.
Ryke Erickson reached on an error scoring Scott and then
Jackson Kohler knocked in the third run of the inning with a single.
Walker finished the game 2-for-4 with an RBI and
David Hudleson was 2-for-3.
Connor Breding earned the win on the mound. He went six innings, giving up two earned runs on five hits and six strikeouts.
CSI next takes on Colorado Northwestern Friday and Saturday.
