TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Softball Team dominated in the circle and at the plate Friday to sweep Snow College 25-0 and 15-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The CSI hurlers gave up just five hits on the day and no runs, while the offense produced 33 hits, including eight home runs.
Both games ended in a five-inning run rules.
In game one,
Tristin Evans was 4-for-4 with two doubles and a home run and
Nikki Zielinski was 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.
Sherry Boone knocked a grand slam and went 3-for-4 with five RBI.
Hannah Peterson and
Kylie Baumert each hit home runs and combined to go 5-8 with six RBI.
In the circle,
Mailee Jensen was close to perfect, giving up just two hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
The bats stayed hot in game two. Zielinski was 2-for-3 with two home runs and six RBI. Baumert was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBI. Evans was 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI and
Carley Croshaw was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI.
Hadlie Henderson earned the win in the circle, giving up no runs on three hits with three walks.
CSI, now 14-10 overall and 7-3 in conference play, hosts Snow College Saturday for a doubleheader at noon.
