TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team beat Prairie Baseball Academy 2-1 before falling in game two 5-4 on Friday.
The first game was a pitching duel. All the scoring happened in the second inning when
Nolan Walker had a solo home run and
Andrew Astin plated
Tyler Curtis with a double.
That was all the run production
Boden Mills would need as the sophomore finished the game giving up just one run on two hits with eight strikeouts for the win.
The Golden Eagles looked in control of game two with
Cannon Secrist on the mound. Through seven innings, Secrist gave up one unearned run on three hits with 11 strikeouts. But CSI watched the lead slip away in the ninth when Prairie scored four runs to take the 5-4 lead it never relinquished.
Nolan Walker finished the game 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Hayden Leatham was 2-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI.
CSI, now 11-13 overall, host Prairie again on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at noon.
