PRICE, Utah - Freshman Finley Garnett drained a 3-pointer with three seconds to go in regulation Saturday to tie the game and send CSI into overtime with USU Eastern. The Golden Eagles ultimately beat USUE 65-59, earning the third seed heading into next week's Region 18 Tournament.
Garnett came up big all game. The forward finished with 25 points and 12 rebounds. Freshmen Petra Farkas also had a solid game, posting 12 points and three rebounds, while Allie Thayne had 12 points and five rebounds.
With the win, the Golden Eagles will draw a first-round bye in the Region 18 Tournament and then face #2 seeded Snow College Friday in the semi-finals. USU Eastern will be the #4 seed and will open with #5 seed Colorado Northwestern on Thursday. That winner will take on top-seeded Salt Lake Friday.
