EPHRAIM, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team fell to Snow College 86-62 Thursday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
The Golden Eagles face a must-win game Saturday at USU Eastern to earn a bye in the opening round of next week's Region 18 Tournament. If Salt Lake beats Colorado Northwestern Saturday, Snow and Salt Lake will be tied atop the standings and the Bruins hold the tie break, which would give Snow the #2 seed.
CSI and USU Eastern will be competing for the third seed on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles and the Badgers were in a two-point game at the half, but CSI went cold and Snow cruised.
CSI hit seven 3-pointers in the first half on 7-of-13 shooting. In the second half, the Golden Eagles made just 2-of-10.
Kaela McClure led CSI with 17 points (5-for-6 from long distance). She added three assists and two steals.
Brooke Haney finished the game with 14 points and
Bailey Hawkins posted 10 points and eight rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, 6-5 in league play, take on USU Eastern at 3 p.m. Saturday.
