TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The Golden Eagle Men's Basketball Team trailed by as much as 12 points in the second half before clawing all the way back to a back-and-forth battle late. But CSI struggled to score and rebound down the stretch, falling to Northeastern JC 72-66 Friday in the Physician's Immediate Care Tournament.
CSI struggled at the free-throw line for the second straight night, shooting just 58 percent and 46 percent in the second half.Â
A bright spot for the Golden Eagles was
Stevie Smith, who finished with nine points and 13 rebounds. CSI's top scorers were
Mike Hood and
Deng Dut, each with 16 points and
Kendall McHugh with 12. Hood added four rebounds and four assists.
The Golden Eagles, now 8-5 overall, host Central Florida at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Central Florida beat Snow College Friday 79-78. In the other men's game of the tournament North Idaho defeated Yakima Valley 118-65.
