MESA, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team battled with South Plains all game but couldn't overcome poor free-throw shooting, falling to South Plains 66-61 in the Fiesta Bowl Shootout.
The Golden Eagles made just 9-of-19 shots from the free-throw line compared to 20-of-29 for South Plains, which proved to be the difference in the game as CSI out-shot South Plains from the field. CSI also lost the battle of the boards 39-23.Â
Mike Hood led CSI with 16 points.
Maurice Barnett scored 12 points along with three rebounds in his first game back from a hand injury.
Deng Dut finished with eight points and four assists and
Nehemie Kabeya posted five points and five rebounds.
