TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team held just a six-point halftime lead Friday in the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational. But the Golden Eagles came out of the locker room and outscored Whatcom 44-20 to take the 87-57 victory.
Five CSI players scored in double figures, in part because of the passing of
Deng Dut. The freshman guard finished the game with 12 assists. He also had 11 points, eight rebounds and two steals on the night.
Mike Hood led all scorers with 21 points. He added four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Coleton Adamson knocked down four 3-pointers, scoring 12 points, while
Stevie Smith had 15 points and
Kendall McHugh had 10. Smith added seven rebounds.
The Golden Eagles dominated the boards, out-rebounding Whatcom 50-20.
CSI, 7-3 overall, takes on Blue Mountain Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Blue Mountain fell to Treasure Valley earlier Friday on a last-second shot.
