TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team held just a four-point halftime lead Monday against Treasure Valley. But a stifling second-half defense jump-started a run that eventually gave the Golden Eagles a 77-62 win in non-conference action.
CSI held the Chukars to 31 percent from the field in the second half and 36 percent for the game and out-rebounded Treasure Valley 56-27 on the night.
Offensively,
Mike Hood led the Golden Eagles with 24 points. He added seven rebounds. The only other CSI player in double figures was
Spencer Roberts, who finished with a double-double (14 points, 14 rebounds).Â
Sawyer Storms and
Deng Dut each scored nine points and pulled down seven rebounds, while
Nehemie Kabeya finished with seven points and six rebounds.Â
Sebastian Reynoso-Jimenez had a great game off the bench on the boards, finishing with seven rebounds.Â
CSI, now 6-3 overall, host Whatcom CC Friday and Blue Mountain CC Saturday in the ICCU Invitational.
