TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team out-scored North Idaho 25-8 in the second quarter to fuel a 74-62 win Saturday in the Hilex Poly/Wright Physical Therapy Invitational.
The Golden Eagles were on fire in the second quarter, knocking down 60 percent of their shots compared to 18 percent for the Cardinals, leading 38-25 at the half. After extending it to 61-45 lead after three quarters, CSI coasted to the 12-point win.
Allie Thayne had a big presence inside for CSI, scoring 18 points and adding three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Macie Knapp and
Jordan Todd each added 13 points. Todd had eight rebounds to tie
Jalen Callender for team-high. Callender also scored seven points and had three assists.
Petra Farkas led CSI with six assists. She added five points, four rebounds and two steals.
The Golden Eagles, now 3-2 overall, host Treasure Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
