TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team shot 50 percent from the field in running past Southwestern Oregon CC 92-63 Friday on opening night of the Hilex Poly/Wright Physical Therapy Invitational.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 26-10 first-quarter lead and stretched it to 48-30 at the half behind the hot hand of
Macie Knapp. The freshman had 19 points in the first half. She finished the game with 23 points and seven rebounds.
Other CSI players scoring in double figures included
Jordan Todd with 16,
Petra Farkas with 15 and
Karmelah Dean with 13. Todd added 14 rebounds to post a double-double. Farkas had four assists and four rebounds, while Dean had five assists and three steals.Â
Overall the Golden Eagles were unselfish with the ball all night, finishing with 24 assists as a team. They also hit the boards, out-rebounding SWOCCÂ 44-30.
In the earlier game, USU Eastern beat North Idaho College 69-50
