TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 21st-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team knocked off 15th-ranked Salt Lake CC Saturday to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles forced the Bruins into 15 turnovers while committing just eight.
CSI also won the the battle at the free-throw line. The Golden Eagles shot 71 percent on 10-of-14, while SLCC was just 3-of-7 for 43 percent.
Leading the way for CSI was
Petra Farkas with a double-double (20 points, 10 rebounds). She added two assists and three steals.
Brooke Haney finished with 13 points, three steals and two rebounds, while
Allie Thayne added 10 points and six rebounds.
Ka'Maree Donald posted a game-high six assists and added two steals.
CSI, now 13-6 overall and 1-0 in league play, travels to Snow Thursday.
