TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team finished a sweep of all four matches in the Starr Corporation Invitational by beating Southwestern Oregon 25-20, 25-9, 25-19 and Treasure Valley CC 25-20, 25-9, 25-19 on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles used a team effort Saturday with 15 different players posting stats in the two matches.
Against Southwestern Oregon,
Sacha Legros led the offensive attack with 11 kills. She added six digs.
Alexis Mareko added eight kills in the middle with no errors and
Letarona Mose had seven kills with seven blocks.
Kohala Solomon finished the match with three kills and four blocks and
Payton Spoja had seven kills and 11 digs.
Azriel White posted 20 assists and three aces, while
Brianna Barta added 14. Defensively
Makayla Bradford had 18 digs.
The Golden Eagles continued their dominance against Treasure Valley.
Mareko and Mose again shined in the middle, each finishing with eight kills and two blocks. Legros added five kills and 12 digs and Solomon and Spoja each had five kills. White and Barta combined for 29 assists and White added five digs.
Kylie Baumert finished the match with 10 digs.
The Golden Eagles, now 11-1, travel to New York for the Monroe College Tournament next week.
