PRICE, Utah - The third-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team was firing on all cylinders Saturday in beating USU Eastern 25-19, 25-17, 25-17 to improve to 2-0 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles finished the match with a .392 hitting percentage, eight team blocks, four aces, 46 assists and 48 digs to dominate all categories.
Leading the way was outside hitter
Airi Miyabe. The sophomore finished the match with 13 kills and no hitting errors. She added nine digs and five blocks. Middle blockers Alexis Marko,
E'laisah Young and
Letarona Mose combined for 19 kills with just two hitting errors and eight blocks.
Defensively
Kylie Baumert led the Eagles with 13 digs.
Sacha Legros added 11.
Sean Garvin ran the offensive with 38 assists, two kills, four digs and two blocks.
CSI, now 16-1 overall, hosts Southern Nevada Friday and #4 Snow College Saturday.
