RICHFIELD, Utah - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team rolled past Western Wyoming 25-23, 25-20, 25-21 and followed that up with a 25-19, 25-9, 25-11 win over Eastern Wyoming Saturday at the Snow College Invitational to improve to 4-0 on the season.
The Golden Eagles held off a pesky Mustang squad behind the hitting of
Airi Miyabe and
E'laisah Young. Miyabe finished the match with 14 kills, 10 digs and two aces. Young had 10 kills and three blocks.
Jovana Vukcevic and
Letarona Mose each had seven kills. Vukcevic added three blocks. Freshman
Alexis Mareko also had three blocks.
Kylie Baumert had 21 digs to pace the defense.
Azriel White finished with a team-high 19 assists and added five digs.
Against Eastern Wyoming,
Kylie Gibson led the offensive Attack with 11 kills. She added eight digs and two blocks. Young again had a solid game, finishing with five kills, three aces, three digs and four blocks. Vukcevic pounded nine kills with no errors on the right side.
Payton Spoja added six kills, five digs and four blocks.
Sacha Legros led the defense with 12 digs and added three aces.
Sean Garvin posted a match-high 17 assists.
The Golden Eagles travel to Salt Lake Friday and Saturday for their next tournament.
