RICHFIELD, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team had solid performances from many players Friday in beating Central Wyoming 25-18, 15-12, 25-9 and Eastern Arizona 25-20, 25-19, 15-25, 25-18 in the Snow College Invitational.
The Golden Eagle sophomores showed their experience all day.
Airi Miyabe finished with seven kills in the first match and 17 kills in the second match. She added 22 digs and four blocks on the day.
E'laisah Young was good in the first match, putting down six kills on nine attempts with a block as well as two aces. She was even better in match two, where she finished with 12 kills on 13 attempts and added four blocks. Sophomore right side
Jovana Vukcevic posted 14 kills on the day and six blocks.
Several newcomers also had a good day. Freshman setter
Sean Garvin had 72 assists and 13 digs. Outside hitter
Kylie Gibson put down 19 kills with four blocks and middle blocker
Letarona Mose had 11 kills and 10 blocks. Freshman libero
Kylie Baumert finished the day with 31 digs, eight assists and four aces. Defensively,Â
Sacha Legros had 15 digs and
Makayla Bradford had 11.
The Golden Eagles, 2-0, take on Western Wyoming at 11 a.m. Saturday and Eastern Wyoming at 1 p.m. before heading home.
