SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Baseball team fell to Salt Lake CC 8-3 in game one before rebounding for a 9-2 victory in game two Thursday.
The Golden Eagles struggled to string hits together in the opener and finished with only two players that posted two hits.
Ryke Erickson was 2-for-2 and
Brett Resch was 2-for-3.
Dylan Steen earned the loss, going two innings and giving up four earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
Game two looked similar to start as the Bruins took the 2-1 lead heading into the seventh inning. But CSI's bats got hot as they scored two in the seventh and six in the eighth to pull away.
Hayden Leatham finished with two triples, going 3-for-5.
Nolan Walker was 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Mason Foltz started the game, going 6.1 innings and giving up two earned runs on eight hits with five strikeouts.
Brandon Soucy came in to relieve Foltz and got the win. Soucy went 2.2 innings, giving up no runs on not hits with two strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles are back in action Friday at noon and 2 p.m. in Salt Lake.
